In the job listing for 2k Czech. They show they are looking for:
Senior Game Designer
We are looking for a Senior Game Designer to join our design team with the responsibility to create designs for game systems and mechanics for the open world city environment.
Requirements:
• Has shipped AAA console action game as a designer (average metacritics rating 80+)
• Experience with creating accessible game mechanics and game systems
• motivated and passionate about games
• ability to work in a team
• good communication and presentation skills
• Excellent knowledge of latest games
• Excellent written and spoken English
This all seems like a normal game designer job but in the company listing they bought up the Mafia Series, this of course is what they are known for but my assumption is that it has to be for Mafia series only because why even mention it? If it was a new IP they probably just have a generic 2k description. Of course this is all assumption but it is good to see they are looking for someone, which can mean they are making something or at least have the plan to.
