SSX Demo Impression and Gameplay

For those that never played any of the SSX series this is a great time to start. After a 5 years since the last SSX (SSX BLUR) the series comes back with a bang. This new and revamped version of the game is what it needed to reemerge as the game that gave snowboarding gamers great memories a decade ago.

Gameplay:

The demo starts with an endless free fall to show you all the ways to do tricks and lets you choose if you want to use buttons or the right analog stick. This itself is a plus because some might like one way or the other. Myself I like the right analog stick as it just makes me have more of a ‘Skate’ feel rather than old school Tony Hawk.

After you complete the demo you are now set to play. Keep in mind it is a demo so a lot is lock, but the gameplay from the level you can play is fun and exciting. I never thought I wouldn’t mind playing a same route over and over again. Not only is it fun but you usually can find different routes on the level to make it a different experience for yourself.

The gameplay is smooth and reaction to combos is fluid, one thing to keep in mind it seems with the analog stick for tricks it doesn’t need to be done quickly just normal speed, for instance one trick is to move the stick to the right then clockwise to the top, you actually have to fully do this you can’t just move your stick like crazy to do tricks.

To environment graphics are good and the physics make the game enjoyable yet not overly unrealistic if this is just a sneak peek of SSX I defiantly want to experience the whole game.

For those that have not tried the demo it is wroth your time and you should give it a try.
