Call of Duty Black Ops II Community Day (Zombie Details and Multiplayer)

Yesterday, I got to have a life time experience, visiting Treyarch Studios to get some new information on Zombies and play the multiplayer with some of the coolest people on YouTube like Hutch, OpTic NaDeSHoT, TmarTn, SeaNanners, and MrErnestLe. We all got to experience the multiplayer for hours on end and got some great information as well. To top off playing the game, you should see gameplay from everyone that attended the event later today. (Will do a post with all the Gameplays I see.) Also, we had a briefing for about an hour with tons of information. Feel free to ask questions in the comment section and if it reminds me of some info, I’ll answer and also update the post.

First off lets cover Zombies!

Modes:
3 Modes
‘Tranzit’ Story Mode-(4 Player Co-op) This has a tie in to the previous map from Rezurrection map pack, “Moon”. According to the briefing we got, “If you got to a certain point in that map, some of you might know what you might have done.” We won’t go into details because we want those that have actually experienced this map to know what it is and don’t want to spoil it for others. There is variation of new things like ‘buildables’, the bus, and new zombies. The bus takes you from area to area while it’s on it route or parked. You can leave teammates behind in this enormous zombie world.
‘Survival’ (Classic Mode)- Usual zombie mode your used to. Will use certain areas of the world to give you that old classic mode.
‘Grief’ (Humans vs Zombies vs Humans) That’s right 4v4 teams take on each other, not a lot of details here but you can’t kill one another directly but can use certain ‘mechanics’ to set up opposing players to be killed off by the zombies.
Custom Games- Now you can start at any level you want. No Magic Items, only headshots, and more. This should bring another element to the game for those that love zombies.

Multiplayer
League Emblems- Each league has its own league emblem. Each league has its one level within the league, which is confirmed via what’s on your emblem.
10 Prestige Emblems- All 10 Prestige emblems are high detail and possibly the best ones yet. The 10th is a goodie being a half skull/half zombie head. After you make it to top rank on Black Ops, you will get a special emblem for being the “Prestige Master”
Pick 10- Changes the create a class entirely can go primary with 3 attachments and no secondary.
Challenges- Doesn’t reset after you prestige.
Weapon XP- Doesn’t reset after you prestige.
Prestige Tokens- Help you unlock key items that YOU want. In Addition to 1 unlock token, you get to pick 1 option below: Extra Create-a-class Slot- Just like before, only 5 extra slots for a total of 10.
Reset- You can choose to fully rest EVERYTHING. (Use with caution)
Refund- A new feature in BO2, allows you to undo a previous unlock token and spend it somewhere else.
Camos include carbon fiber, cherry blossom, skulls, gold, and hidden ones. Can be put on primaries, secondaries, riot shields and launchers.
Custom Emblems: 2 layers for emblem editor. TRANSPARENCY is also now available both for emblems and backgrounds.
CUSTOM GAMES: Will make a return with more flexibility than before, you can change ‘pick 10’ to 3-17! And more options on what to enable and disable.
Party Games: Wager matches that you now play with friends and gain XP (booster problem there)

3 New maps: Express- Los Angeles Bullet Train Station. Hijacked- Luxurious Super Yacht. Three levels.
Plaza- Rundown section of Panama.

New Game Mode: Hardpoint- King of the Hill Status, Multiple points throughout maps to gather points. Fast paced and will be high kills/deaths.
Combat Training

Bootcamp- Humans with bots on the team. Cool new feature is for new players, you can level up to lvl 10.
Bot Stomp- The original Combat Training mode, Humans VS Bots.

Theater mode:
Dolly Cam
20 Clips for a video (Pro tip: You can now merge tips to become one so rinse and repeat for more footage)
New “Highlight” Feature: You can highlight items during a match to get its camera view, (Helo, RPG,..)
In the works: CoDCast from your iPhone and iPad. Yes you may be able to stream or cast from your iDevice!

More info to be added, also look out for the gameplay that I’ll be posting here, later today. I personally had a great time with Black Ops II. Felt fresh and different with the minor changes and seems like a lot more content will be on this game than ever before. I would even say that the 360 version might be 2 Disc possibly.
