Yuki Ikeda, developer of the new PS3 exclusive title called “rain”, may have come up with a recipe for something special and breathtaking. This little known game has caught my eye with spectacular gameplay and storyline. In “rain” you play as a 10 year old boy who enters the world of Rain. Upon entering the world he realizes that he is invisible and can only be seen in the downpour. Armed with nothing, you must escape the world that does contain monsters that you can not kill. The object is to simply run away and evade the monsters using your invisibility and stealth to your advantage. Along the way your character encounters a little girl who shares your silhouette nature and is also trying to escape the world. Kotaku’s Brian Ashcraft interviewed Ikeda about the cool story behind the game’s mechanics and gameplay. That interview can be read here. As for me I am very intrigued by this game and am looking forward to playing it when I get my PS3.
