Black Ops 3 Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies information revealed in promo material

Earlier today, retailers began to receive promotional material which revealed that Black Ops 3 would be released on Friday, November 6th and would include beta access for those who pre-order. Since then, more images popped up, including the first in-game screenshot and a Zombies poster. Now, even more information has surfaced…

The information, which was posted by @Long_Sensation,  reveals a ton of new information about all of the game’s modes (Campaign, Multiplayer, Zombies), and appears to originate from some promo booklet of some sort, which we imagine will be handed to retail customers over the next few weeks.

Here’s a summary of information:

  • Zombies will be a “full-game experience” and include its own distinct storyline from launch.
  • Zombies will feature an XP-based progression system, providing some depth and replayability. The mode has also been described as the “most immersive and ambitious” Zombies experience so far.
  • The Campaign will support four-player co-operative player, allowing players to join forces via the same network connectivity as Multiplayer and Zombies.
  • Campaign is designed for co-op and re-playability, with a new “open-area arena-style” gameplay added. This allows players to approach the campaign with a different strategy each time they play.
  • The Campaign will support Character Progression, allowing players to completely customization their character: weapons, loadouts, abilities, and outfits. A full progression system and personalized armory will allow players to showcase their accomplishments and experience a constantly-evolving campaign experience.
  • Multiplayer will feature a new movement system based on momentum and chained movements. Fluid movements through environments with finesse, controlled thrust jumps, slides, and mantling. There will be a multitude of combinations for the movement abilities and the player will maintain complete control over their weapons.
  • A tailored map design in multiplayer will support traditional movement as well as the new advanced techniques.
  • A Specialist character system in Multiplayer will allow players to rank up and master each specific character’s capabilities and weapons. Traditional and Weapons XP progression systems are also included, meaning that there are 3 different ways to rank up.
