Inferno playlist-variant coming to Destiny next week

Activision and Bungie have confirmed that a new Inferno mode is coming to Destiny’s Crucible playlist on Tuesday, 3rd March, following today’s rumour.

The Inferno mode will provide an even tougher challenge for players of the game’s Crucible multiplayer mode. Tracking will be disabled (no HUD radar identifying enemies), the removal of a variety of scoring events will require players to take out enemies and complete objectives to win a match, Heavy ammo will be in shorter supply (one crate per match), and players won’t be able to pick up Heavy ammo from dead players. Beginning Tuesday, the Inferno mode will be available for the Control gametype which has been optimized with shorter objective captures.

On top of this, the Destiny Companion App has also received an update with a new feature. With Mobile Vault management, players will be able to use their mobile devices to manage the contents of their in-game Vault anywhere at anytime. Say you’re heading into a Nightfall Strike but have already left the Tower, you’ll be able to use the App to retrieve a weapon without having to access your Vault in the Tower.
