Last week Squid reviewed a product called a PowerBag, this bag helped you charge your electronics that you use every day. This is a great idea for events, school, and trips but what about those that don’t want to carry a back pack? How about if your going on a trip and don’t need a bag but would like that extra battery life for your benefit?

This might seem unnecessary but imagine forgetting to charge your cell the night before, you wake up late for your day and take off. Around lunch time you reach into your pocket and see this:

That sign of your battery being dead and needs to be plugged in can ruin most people’s day. Most of us need our phones for one reason or the other, texting, social networking, emails and you never know when you will actually need to make that emergency call. So what can you do? You either don’t want to carry a bag or can’t because your every day attire wouldn’t allow it. For male or female you might have your own personal reasons that a bag couldn’t or wouldn’t want a bag, but fear not, myCharge has your answer. The myCharge Portable Power Bank 2000 is a slim and lightweight power bank for your electronics. Below you will find an Unboxing Video-

As you can see, included in this device you get tons of cables that can be used for Apple products, Micro USB and Mini USB connectors , charging cables and the on-board USB port lets you have more of a range or products if needed. When I first picked up the Power Bank, I was expecting some weight, but surprisingly it seemed to be rather lightweight. But don’t let its size fool you, this PowerBank means business.

For a quick run down on my testing of this product:
I charged the power bank and then disconnected. Plan is to only use the PowerBank, lets say for a camping trip.
(Keep in mind, I tweet, check out news, text, email, and text all day on my phone)
I waited til my iPhone 4s alerted me with the 10% battery life, then I plugged in the Power Bank. About 30-40 min later I found my iPhone fully charged.
Next day around the same time as day before (late afternoon), charged it and got a full charge.
At this time I checked the battery life left, the indicator said one bar let.

So you get two full charges out of the Power Bank. This is pretty impressive with its size and price, I had tried another product before cost twice as much, bigger and heavier, barely gave me one full charge.

Final Thoughts

I think for the price and money this is worth it, even for everyday life. If you have a habit of having your cell die, or travel a lot. This might be your answer. Even if you are one that carries a charger around to charge your cell through out the day this might be a better alternative. This is a great backup plan for any type of situation from travel, camping, work and much more. This can be a life saver for you or even for someone else that batter might die. It comes with a little case so you can have the Power Bank and cords safe. The other thing is if you don’t want to use the case, the Power Bank itself has a ‘rubberized’ surface that seems to keep the battery inside safe and wont get all scratched.
