A short clip from what appears to be a third-person Darth Maul game not unlike the recent The Force Unleashed series has found its way online. The gameplay looks promising, especially considering this is probably very early in development. An adventure revolving around the famous villain could have been great and it’s a shame to discover yet another project that was axed along with Star Wars 1313 since Disney shut down Lucasarts last spring.
Hopefully EA Games (who now owns the Star Wars video game license for the next 10 years) can match the lofty expectations of Star Wars fans and gamers alike. Battlefield‘s DICE is currently developing Battlefront and Dead Space’s Visceral games is working on another unannounced Star Wars title, and bringing Uncharted‘s former writer and creative director on board is encouraging news.
